How It Started
A long time ago...
Back in middle school, Elisheva was given a simple assignment: build a budget for a future career. At 13, she had no idea what she wanted to do, but she knew two things: she loved being creative and she wanted to help people. After brainstorming with her mom, she stumbled upon a career she had never heard of before: micropigmentation specialist. These artists used tattooing not just for beauty, but to restore confidence for cancer survivors, burn victims, and anyone struggling with discoloration. For her, it sounded like the perfect mix of artistry and purpose.
At the same time, Elisheva was dealing with her own struggles. All through middle and high school, she battled stubborn acne. No treatment seemed to help, and every doctor told her she would simply “grow out of it.” Like many teens, she covered it with makeup only to make it worse. It was painful, discouraging, and frustrating. While she always believed that every type of skin was beautiful, she could not shake her desire for real, lasting change, both for herself and for others.
Years later, after her freshman year of college, she realized the answer had been there all along. That school project, her love of creativity, and her personal journey with skin all pointed in the same direction: aesthetics. She decided to enroll in beauty school and pursue her license as an Esthetician. It became the perfect balance of passion and purpose, something creative, deeply personal, and above all, a way to help people feel like the best version of themselves. At that moment, Skin So Fly was born.
